About Me
I'm a journalist and historian whose curiosity and hunger for knowledge and experiences led me to pursue a career in storytelling and historical research. I've been a reporter since college and have covered everything from theme park openings and rocket launches to local politics and two presidential elections in a major battleground state in the south.
Through my ten years covering nearly everything under the Sunshine State, I've found the stories I enjoy telling the most focus on history, space exploration, popular culture, and entertainment. These passions are also reflected in my academic work, including my master's thesis on the impact of Walt Disney's Tomorrowland television series on the early American space program.
I am currently a freelance writer mainly covering entertainment — from books, TV, and movies to theme parks and attractions. I run two books-focused social media pages as well as write a weekly newsletter covering all things Star Wars. I am also an author working on my first historical nonfiction manuscript with the University Press of Florida.
As an adjunct instructor of journalism at the University of South Florida, my alma mater, I teach senior-level reporting courses and run the internship program.
